In the Car Hall of Fame, if there is one, the Jeep is the most deserving contender. The car's awe-inspiring design and reliability aren't contestable, especially when off-roading. Its robust frame and solid suspension have inspired numerous models that could easily pass as Jeeps. And that is expected when a well-made car sets the benchmark for rugged SUVs. So, what other cars that look like Jeeps do you know?

One thing about the Jeep is that its sturdy build is perfect for off-road performance. Unfortunately, you might be unable to drive it for numerous reasons.

The good thing is that you have other visually and functionally comparable brands in the market that can pass off as one. So, what cars like Jeep Wrangler do you know about?

Among cars that look like jeeps but aren't is the Suzuki Jimmy. This brand is quite similar to the Jeep in numerous aspects. It is a descendant of the original Suzuki 4x4, the 1970s LJ10. Like the Jeep, Suzuki Jimmy is a perfect offroad automobile with a box body shape.

The car model has a separate frame and body. The Suzuki Jimmy utilises a 1.5L four-cylinder engine that produces up to 100 horsepower.



 

3. Ford Bronco

The Ford Bronco’s incredible design isn’t the only thing that attracts people; its impressive performance matches the Jeep and is something to remember the next time you are looking for a Jeep alternative.

The car is comfortable and driver-friendly on the road, and it even has a more significant advantage over Jeep for off-road enthusiasts. The Ford Bronco has a narrow body and a short wheelbase.


 

4. Toyota 4Runner

Although Toyota 4Runner isn't a new vehicle that looks like a jeep, it has been in the market long enough to gain a good following from car enthusiasts who have found it impressive.

The Toyota 4Runner is more significant than the Jeep. The Jeep Wrangler is 184.9 inches long, 73.7 inches wide, and 72.6 inches high, while the Toyota 4Runner is 191.3 inches long, 75.8 inches wide and 71.5 inches high. And this means you get extra space for your cargo when on a hiking expedition.


 

5. Hummer H2

The Hummer H2 is another fantastic automobile among the collection of cars like the Jeep Wrangler. Like the Jeep, the car quickly gained icon status after its release in 2002. The military-styled automobile isn’t only about being perfect for handling challenging terrain but has the sturdiness and comfort you would want for an extended cruise.

Although it dropped from the market in 2009, it is still a classic, and its electric counterpart is even more impressive. It is just as powerful as the original Hummer H2.

Without knowledge of cars, or a novice, you can easily have this immaculately designed Suzuki Samurai in your collection of Jeep automobiles because of the striking similarity. A first look would have you dismiss it as among the types of Jeeps you don't know much about.

The Suzuki Samurai is a four-wheel drive, which means its engine sends sufficient power to the front and wheel axles. It also comes with a factory bulbar (not attractive) that provides the desired protection against damage in a collision.

Undoubtedly, Toyota made the Toyota FJ Cruiser to compete with the Jeep Wrangler considering the striking similarity. The large car manufacturer targeted the massive off-road market with this model, which worked well considering its affordability compared to the Jeep.

Another great thing about the car is that it offers a manual transmission option that gives you more control.


 

9. Land Rover Defender

Land Rovers are some of the best cars in the market, and the Land Rover Defender is an excellent alternative to the Jeep Compass. The car was designed with a classic British style and has been around since 1990 though newer models have been released.

The Land Rover LR4 is a fantastic off-road vehicle. The car has an electronic air suspension that balances it, making it highly comfortable when driving on rugged terrains.


 
Cars that look like Jeeps – Final word

You must always remember that you will never find a perfect replica of the Jeep as it has been made differently by a distinguishable brand. However, numerous cars that look like Jeeps in the market offer unique features. So, don't limit yourself to the Jeep when looking for offroad automobiles. Others would function exceptionally well.
